Illustrator why cant i align stroke to inside
As they will always align to the centre, you can overcome this by making a custom stroke width profile.
As the stroke is applied completely round the outside the size will appear the same in Illustrator. However, on saving it will increase. This is the main thing to be aware of. If you were intent on having a particular size, you may find your design to be off in those areas. For example, if you were to make a 16px favicon, which had a 1px stroke on the outside your favicon would be 18px.
With the stroke not being accounted for in the dimensions it can make things trickier to align precisely. As demonstrated in the image you will see the centre and outside stroke alignments.
Having the correct corner radius can make things feel more intentional. The outside does to an extent, but things like inner corner radii can feel off. When you use inside or outside for stroke alignment the exported paths have a fill.
When you export with a centre alignment you have access to all the stroke properties. This allows you to adjust the width, caps and joins without having to save it out again. It can also affect the dimensions, as it extends beyond the anchor point. If centre is the best, how do you size things reliably?

By the way, can't find the option to release shaper tool created object, like ungroup it.
Is there some magic trick? IgnatMiller If you have a shaper tool group, select it, then choose the shaper tool, click on the down arrow widget at the right edge of the selection to turn it into an up arrow, then click inside the object you want to remove, and drag and drop it outside the bounding box. See example here: imgur. IgnatMiller if you want boolean shaping that makes sense, look at every other drawing program not made by Adobe. It's only Adobe that gets it this wrong.
